Vivid Sydney 2026 returns from 22 May to 13 June 2026, transforming the city with a vibrant program of light, music, ideas, and food. Over 23 unforgettable nights, Sydney’s streets, harbour precincts, and iconic landmarks will come alive with immersive installations, live performances, inspiring talks, and memorable dining experiences.
As one of the largest multi-artform festivals in the Southern Hemisphere, Vivid Sydney attracts millions of visitors from around the world. This year introduces Vivid Minds, a new program of immersive experiences and visual art, alongside the Creative Trailblazers series featuring internationally recognised names including Sean Baker, Chloé Zhao, Jerry Saltz, Roxane Gay, and Zane Lowe.
Festival highlights also include 23 nights of free performances at Tumbalong, A Shared Table by Yotam Ottolenghi, Vivid Fire Kitchen at Barangaroo Reserve, and the spectacular Lighting of the Sails at the Sydney Opera House, featuring original artwork by French artist Yann Nguema.
